Adding Audio in Compozer

I’m putting together a course in Compozer and I’m not seeing an option to add audio. Am I missing something? Right now I’m working with an image and text setup, but ideally I’d like the flexibility to attach audio to most elements. Is that possible?

Hi Lamar, it looks like you’re asking specifically about adding audio alongside other content blocks.

In Compozer, audio is added using the Audio block found in the Multimedia category. You can stack this Audio block before or after other blocks (like Image, Text, or Image + Text) to pair audio with your content. At the moment, audio can’t be embedded inside another block type itself - it always lives in its own block.

Within the Audio block, you can either upload an audio file or record your audio directly into Compozer by clicking the microphone icon (see screenshot below).

Is there any way to have audio play automatically in a block or lesson instead of having to initiate the playback as a user?

At the moment, there isn’t a way to have audio play automatically within a block or lesson - playback does need to be initiated by the learner.

That said, this is a feature that’s already on the roadmap, as it’s something quite a few people have asked for. We don’t have a confirmed release date just yet, but it’s definitely in the works.

Appreciate you raising it, always helpful to see demand for these kinds of features!
