I’m working on the title screen for one of my courses and want it to really ‘pop’
visually… kind of like you can on a normal website builder where you have a full video playing behind your text or other elements.
Is this possible in Compozer? Can you set a video as the background of a block or is it just static images for now?? I’d love to make my intro screen feel more dynamic and modern but I’m not sure if the platform allows it.
Any tips, workarounds or clever ways you’ve seen this done would be awesome.

Hi Courtney,
You can add a video as the background of a block in Compozer.
Here’s how:
-
Select your block on the canvas where you want the video background.
-
Click on the Background option in the block settings.
-
Switch to the Video tab. From here, you have a few options:
- Upload your own video directly.
- Choose a fallback image in case the video doesn’t load for some users.
- Apply an overlay color with adjustable opacity if you want text to stand out more.
- Select a video from Compozer’s royalty-free media library if you don’t have your own video handy.
This gives you full control to make the intro feel dynamic, modern, and visually engaging.
Take a look at the screenshot below to see where everything sits in the block settings.
Once you add the video and adjust the overlay, your title screen will really feel like a website hero section!
