Compozer Source Files

How do you download the source files for a course?

Hi Turner and welcome to the Compozer community!

Can you tell me a bit more about what you’re looking to do? Do you want to download a back-up copy of your Compozer course for storage purposes? Are you trying to send a copy of a course to another Compozer author outside your Team?

With a few more details, I can point you in the right direction :slightly_smiling_face:

Just so I can have them as back-ups.

Thanks for that.

Compozer is a fully web-based authoring tool, so all of your editable project files live safely online inside your account. As long as the course sits under an active subscription, you can jump back in and update it anytime.

You can download a SCORM package or a standalone web export to host elsewhere, but it’s important to know those exports are delivery files only - they can’t be uploaded back into Compozer for editing later.

Rest assured, your Compozer account is never deleted unless you, as the account owner, specifically request it. If you decide to cancel your subscription, your account simply moves to the Freemium plan. Your courses stay right there in your dashboard, safely stored, ready for you to reactivate the subscription whenever you want to continue working on it again. In that sense, your true backup lives within Compozer itself, securely in the cloud.

This setup gives you the best of both worlds: flexible editing whenever you need it, and a secure home for all your valuable projects.
