Carousels are a powerful way to make your course content more interactive, allowing learners to slide through images, text, and other media seamlessly. Here’s how to add and configure a Carousel in Compozer:
Step 1 – Add a Carousel Block
In your course editor, go to the Blocks section and select Carousel.
Drag and drop the Carousel block onto your canvas to begin creating your interactive content.
Step 2 – Choose a Carousel Style
In the settings panel, explore the different styles available.
Pick a style that complements your course design and enhances the learner experience.
Step 3 – Configure Carousel Settings
Compozer allows you to tailor how your Carousel behaves:
-
Loop: Enable slides to repeat continuously for an ongoing flow.
-
Auto Play: Have slides transition automatically for a smooth, hands-free experience.
-
Autoplay Interval: Set the time between slides (in milliseconds) to control the pace.
Step 4 – Manage Text Position and Height
-
Text Position: Choose where your text appears over the slide (top, bottom, or overlay).
-
Height: Adjust the Carousel’s height to match your layout and content needs.
Step 5 – Customize Content Display
Decide which elements of each slide should be visible. Compozer gives you flexibility to hide or show content for a cleaner design or focused message.
Step 6 – Set Image Display
In Image Settings, choose how images fit within the slide:
-
Cover: Fills the block while maintaining the image’s aspect ratio.
-
Contain: Resizes the image to fit entirely within the block without cropping.
Step 7 – Preview and Publish
Before publishing, preview your Carousel to make sure the design and functionality match your expectations.
Once satisfied, save and publish your course so learners can interact with your new Carousel.
Using these steps, you can create engaging Carousels that make content more interactive and visually appealing. Customise style, behaviour, and layout to suit your course needs and keep learners engaged throughout the experience.
