How do I insert a Table in my course?

I know that I can copy and paste a table from a different document, that works fine but is there a way I can create a custom table inside my actual Compozer course?

Hi Klause,

There are actually a couple of ways to do it.

If you want to create a brand-new table from scratch, just click into any text block (or insert a new one) and press the / key on your keyboard. This will open up a quick action menu - from there, simply select “Table.” A table will instantly appear in your selected text area, and you can start entering your data or adjusting rows and columns right away.

Alternatively, if you’ve already got content that’s structured like a table - maybe a list or set of values - you can let AI do the work for you. Just highlight the text you want to turn into a table and click the “Ask AI” button from the floating text toolbar. Then, scroll to the bottom of the AI options and choose “Convert to Table.” Compozer will automatically organize your selected content into a clean, logical table layout. It’s a big time-saver when you’re working with formatted data or side-by-side comparisons.

Both of these methods make it easy to keep your course content structured and professional without needing external tools. You can see both options in action in the short demo video below for a quick visual walkthrough.

Also, simple steps to follow:

Option 1: Create a Table from Scratch

  1. Click into any text block (or insert a new one).

  2. Press the / key on your keyboard to open the quick action menu.

  3. Select Table from the list.

  4. A blank table will appear — you can now add rows, columns, and text as needed.

Option 2: Convert Existing Text into a Table Using AI

  1. Highlight the text you want to turn into a table.

  2. Click the Ask AI button from the floating text toolbar.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the AI menu and choose Convert to Table.

  4. Compozer will automatically structure your content into a formatted table.

Tip: You can always resize or adjust your table afterwards — great for displaying comparisons, data, or organized lists without leaving Compozer.
