I’m needing to clear my storage to make some room, any ideas?
If you’re looking to free up storage in Compozer, the first place to start is actually inside your existing courses. Any assets (images, videos, documents, etc.) that you remove from a course are deleted immediately, so it’s worth going back through your current projects and clearing out anything you’re no longer using. You’d be surprised how many unused files tend to build up over time - and this alone can free up a good chunk of space.
Now, the Trash works a little differently. Items only go into the Trash when you delete an entire course. When that happens, all of the assets within that course are also moved to the Trash along with it.
One important thing to remember:
Even in the Trash, those files still count toward your storage. They’ll sit there for 30 days before being automatically deleted - unless you manually empty the Trash sooner.
So the best approach is:
- Clean up unused assets within your active courses (this is the big one)
- Delete any courses you no longer need
- Then go into the Trash and empty it to immediately free up that space
Do those three things and you should see your storage open up pretty quickly
